"Astonishingly, he claimed America did not need to give any more to beating poverty as individuals were so generous at charity. Mr Bush has refused to meet the goal of raising aid to 0.7 per cent of America's gross income"
Newsflash! How many BILLIONS of dollars has the United States poured into Africa? Right down the drain.
Astonishingly, you are too big of an idiot to realize that pouring money into a problem is not the answer. As I said earlier this weekend, until the people of Africa embrace democracy, capitalism, and lose the over-bearing corruption that runs rampant through most of their governments, it's not going to change a thing. Have you long haired maggot infested hippies ever given thought that by pouring money into corrupt governments is only making them more powerful?
Speaking of pouring money into a problem - how much of the Billions of dollars that were donated to the Tsunami relief earlier this year have made it to the people? Practically none. Why? Because the aid organizations and the governments in the area can't agree on how to spend the money. Gee, I wonder how many people have starved there? I'm sure it's George Bush's fault.
