John Kerry and the Economy

anyone here remember how the libbys (and the media) accused George Bush of "talking down the economy shortly after and during the last elections??? Apparently, they themselves have forgotten. They simply have to hate the internet. Interesting recent Washington Post Headline "Kerry to Step up Economic Crusade: Candidate will dismiss recent good news and emphasize gloomy picture matched by polls."

So, when will the press come out and start saying that Kerry is talking down the economy?? hhmmmm.

Gene Sperling told Good Morning America on March 16, 2001, that Bush had "hurt consumer confidence" by being "very pessimistic in talking down the economy."

On March 15, 2001, Senator Richard Durbin (D., Ill.) told CNN's Wolf Blitzer that "when President Bush looks at the economy, he doesn't see the doughnut, he just sees the hole."

On the March 14, 2001, broadcast of World News Tonight Peter Jennings opined that President Bush "has been talking down the economy for months as a way of selling his tax cut."
