Florence Shapiro, who chairs the Senate Education Committee said senators have been "cackling" about the bill and were surprised the House took time to debate it.Yep - she's my senator.
"We have so many big issues that haven't been resolved," Shapiro said, citing school finance and a tax bill among others.
"This isn't even on the radar."
