Page of Texas Constitution on display

The first page of what a state archivist says is part of the original draft of the Republic of Texas Constitution is on display after years in a box labeled "miscellaneous 19th-century papers."

what I wanna know is why was this article written in a Seattle paper?? I'm thinking the chronicle or morning news woulda been the paper of note on this issue....

I'm all for Texas seceeding from the Union. Texas is an embarrassment to the United States. Either give it back to Mexico, or let it languish on its own.
