Bush's Chat With Novelist Alarms Environmentalists

If you haven't read Crichton's A State of Fear, you really should. It does a very thorough job (and is a fairly entertaining read to boot) of confronting the eco-nazis and their whacked out views on the environment. I no longer have the book as it's being loaned out at the moment, but suffice it to say that every single theory put out there by the loony eco freaks is thoroughly debunked.
"This shows the president is more interested in science fiction than science," said Frank O'Donnell, president of Clean Air Watch, after learning of the White House meeting.
Yep, the book is indeed science fiction. It also has a huge bibliography and a significant amount of factual data supporting the premises of the book. It's frankly the eco-nazi's worst nightmare - an entertaining and educational look into the quack science of their goofy religion. The very title sums up the state of our society today - one in which the news media is an active player in creating a climate of fear over practically everything they report on.

Can't wait for the movie....
