Instead of "one nation, under God," the voice said, "one nation, under your belief system."
Principal Kathleen Norton, who normally leads the Pledge but was out of the building at the time, apologized to students Thursday and sent home letters of apology yesterday.
It's good to see the school officials actually condemning this idiot. It seems like more often than not, schools land on the wrong side of issues like this. We are not talking about school prayer here. We are talking about the Pledge of Allegiance. If someone has a problem with pledging allegiance to the flag, then they have a right to stand there and be quiet. Then, hopefully during recess they become the victim of an atomic wedgie at the hands of good America loving children.
