Don't think it can happen here?

This outstanding public service announcement (copied shamelessly from Xavier's site) should be an awesome example for us all. Don't think for an instant this couldn't happen here. Think Democrat President (oh, wait, they're sensitive about being called Democrats, right? Well boo freaking hoo; they're damn sure NOT democratic) but anyway, think Democrat President, Democrat Congress. If the Republicans don't pull their heads out of the asses, we're hosed and something like this young lady talks about will be our new reality.
