Here is where you find a core difference between pro-gunners and anti-gunners. Pro gunners believe that if you enforce the existing laws on the books, you have more than enough reason to put thugs in jail. Anti-gunners believe that more laws = more safety, completely disregarding the fact that dozens of laws already exist on the books to prosecute violent crime.
Now, why San Fransisco only recently started to use this "old" law is beyond me.
