Michelle Malkin: The air marshals' mess

Being pals with several FAM's, I can say they ain't real keen on the dress code enforced on them.
However, as silly as their dress code is, it's not as bad as it could have been. Word on the street is that they were originally spec'd to wear blue blazers with lapel pins on 'em, labeling them as 'da man.

I can only hope, for their safety and ours, that this ridiculous policy is changed.

As one of them said to me, we'd be better off in a jump suit, with an MP-5, seated facing to the rear at the cockpit door.

However, I fear that this logical, commonsensical approach would only scare those passengers flying in and around California since they would actually be able to see in person an evil looking MP-5.
