Mexico Retaliates for Border Wall Plan

This is rather oldish news I've been sitting on; too busy to put something down "on paper".

I can't begin to tell you how much the tone of this article infuriates me.

"Many Mexicans, especially those who have spent time working in the U.S., feel the proposal is a slap in the face to those who work hard and contribute to the U.S. economy."

There's clearly no denying that illegal immigrants do a lot work here. There's also no denying they cost this country billions of dollars a year - health care costs and education costs alone are absolutely insane.

"Fernando Robledo, 42, of the western state of Zacatecas, says the proposals could stem migration and disrupt families by breaking cross- border ties."

The whole point, Senor Robeldo, is to stem migration. Dumb ass.

"The House bill, passed on a 239-182 vote, would also enlist military and local law enforcement to help stop illegal entrants and require employers to verify the legal status of their workers."

Good, it's about time.

"Mexicans are outraged by the proposed measures, especially the extension of the border wall, which many liken to the Berlin Wall."

History lesson folks - the Berlin Wall kept the enslaved East Berliners from escaping to the West, and Freedom. This wall would help protect the United States from ILLEGAL (key word class) immigrants - not migrant workers - not undocumented workers - but ILLEGAL immigrants from coming into our country and enjoying the freedoms and rights that we pay for daily.

I say build the wall, patrol it with aerial drones and ship every single person who crosses the border illegally back to the country they crossed from, whether that be Canada or Mexico. Put the onus of protecting the mutual borders on both our neighbors and start protecting our borders.
