Critics like Eric Alterman know that if you repeat a lie enough times, it becomes the truth to some people. He just makes statements without any evidence whatsoever to back them up. It's neat and easy. And people believe it. At least the same people who believe Bill Gates has this nifty e-mail tracking program...
Name-calling is name-calling. Eric just doesn't like the President. I seem to recall the President telling the nation that this would be a long, costly, difficult war. If you don't believe Iraq harbored terrorists, let's talk real estate - I got something to sell you. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, at least directly. Yet al-Qaida continues to operate in-country to facilitate the so-called resistance movement, and beheaded an American businessman in retaliation for the treatment of the Iraqi prisoners. Iraq has been a training ground, and is breeding battle-hardened new recruits for its agenda of advancing Islamic fanaticism.
You're right. We should just get out of the way. They'll probably just leave us alone. Like they did before. Right about 9/11/01.
