20 Hurt In McAllen Restaurant Explosion

Hugo Chavez: Theory that U.S. orchestrated Sept. 11 attacks 'not absurd'
As much as it galls me, I think we owe a debt of gratitude to the neo-Marxist pseudo-dictator Hugo Chavez, the so-called "president" of Venezuela for helping nail the lid on the coffin of one of the most ridiculous and nauseating conspiracy theories ever espoused by the far left- and right-wing nutcases. How's that, you say? Because he has suggested that he supports the theory.
Now, you and I know that the main reason he supports this theory is because of his blind hatred of President George Bush. However, in the fog of this blind rage, here's what's happened: one of the most vitriolic, feared, and hated dictators of the 21st century supports this conspiracy theory. This holds the same credence as having Fidel Castro himself make the same statement. In fact, that's pretty much what Chavez is: a mouthpiece for the Marxist leader of Cuba.
If you are one of those deranged individuals that actually believes that any of the last 3 or 4 Presidents of the United States would perpetrate a public attack on their own innocent civilians in an attempt to gain political or financial gain, then all I can do is pity you. Granted, they have ALL made mistakes (some more than others, mind you) that allowed the enemies of our Republic to perpetrate terrorist attacks on us, but remember this: we are at war with Islamic fundamentalists (whatever THAT means), and they want to kill us - men, women, children - combatants and non-combatants, and will do anything to perpetrate their mayhem and violence against a society that they simply cannot comprehend in their barbarian brains. While I hold no great love for the incursions of a Federal government on private lives, neither do I believe (nor has anyone convinced me) that they 1) would kill thousands in a staged "terrorist" attack, nor 2) do I believe our Federal government is organized enough to pull it off, keep the truth hidden from ALL sources, and sell it as a terrorist attack! Hell, Bill Clinton couldn't keep a simple BJ secret.
If you buy any of that nonsense, then by all means pay heed to Hugo Chavez. You deserve what you get.

Clinton spin machine still working
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, the Clinton spin machine is back in the forefront of our lives. It would seem they're still working on Clinton's legacy, and aren't letting the facts get in the way.
It is a fact that the Clinton administration had several shots at Bin Laden and didn't take them.
It is a fact that the Clinton administration's withdrawal from Somalia gave strength and courage to Bin Laden as the terrorists figured the American government had no stomach for a fight.
It is a fact that the Clinton administration wanted to treat terrorists as criminals, and not terrorists.
It is a fact that Sandy Berger stole National Archive documents - something that would land you and me in jail if we did the same thing.
It is a fact that the Clinton administration slashed military spending and reduced our military strength significantly.
It is a fact that the 9/11 attacks had been in the works and under planning for years - well before George Bush became President of the United States.

Hottest Sauces in the World
The hottest stuff I've ever personally sampled is Dave's Insanity Sauce. I touched a drop of it to my little finger, then touched my finger to my tongue. I was instantly blinded, and almost choked to death. Mind you, I put Tabasco Habanero on my eggs for breakfast, and go through a large bottle of Tabasco in about 3 weeks. I like my hot sauce. None of that candy-assed Frank's or "Louisiana" so-called "hot" sauce in my house.
Dave's Insanity Sauce isn't even on this list. Granted, Dave's Gourmet Insanity is on the list, but I reckon it's a LOT hotter.

Batavia office this weekend, they will have Miller Brewing Co., as a sponsor. The brewer has paid more than $30,000 for a planning convention, materials and newspaper ads publicizing the event.
The support of a major corporation for a controversial political cause shows how fierce the competition has become to woo the growing market of Latino consumers.For Miller, the march offered a special chance to catch up. This spring the brewer drew the ire of pro-immigrant forces over contributions to U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), who sponsored legislation that would crack down on illegal immigrants. That prompted a short-lived boycott by some Latino groups.Now, march advertisements feature not just the organizing committee's trademark blue globe but Miller's logo and a Spanish translation of its "Live Responsibly" slogan, a company effort to build goodwill among Latinos.
But this march is no Cinco de Mayo parade. The politically charged event will promote a controversial plan to end deportations and offer legal status for all 11 million to 12 million undocumented immigrants. That creates potential pitfalls for any businesses lending support, experts say.At the same time business sponsorships have forced activists to confront whispers that they are commercializing their movement when they accept much-needed donations."We would love to have 20 corporate logos. It doesn't mean we are selling the movement out," said Jorge Mujica, a member of the March 10 Committee. "The principles and demands remain the same. I haven't broken down and totally detailed my car all summer. Just a California dusting here and there and the occasional wash to knock the dust off.
