And you thought that was bad?

Holy crap Batman. Taking yet another step towards statism, today the White House attempted to ban a news organization from the press pool.

Guess which news organization that was, boys and girls?

The same arrogant statist who today attempted to remove Fox News from the White House pool was the same arrogant statist who kicked reporters from 'conservative' papers off his campaign jet a year ago. The same one who's been waging a war against a news outlet that happens to be the most popular, by far, of the cable news channels. Even the lib haven of the Huff Post states that Fox News recently pulled in more than twice the combined viewers of CNN and MSNBC.

Crushing dissent, my friends, is what the Nazis did in the 1930s. Remember - and I've quoted it here often enough:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
The Obama machine is working directly from the Goebbels handbook, folks. The time for niceties and polite discourse is over. If the Republican party doesn't pull its collective head out of its ass and stop supporting liberal RINOS, we are all totally and completely screwed. Read it again:
...VITALLY IMPORTANT FOR THE STATE TO USE ALL OF ITS POWERS TO REPRESS DISSENT.
Tell me that the White House is acting contrary to that perspective.

With the FCC looking at controlling the content of the internet, can you honestly tell me that any blog - like this one - that disagrees with the president is safe? If they can attempt to shut out a major news organization with tons of money - what can they do to the little ole Texican Tattler?

This shit is getting out of hand.

Reading

through the US Constitution once again, I am surprised, totally surprised really that I could not find one shred of authority granted to the United States government to do this. I mean, after all, it wouldn't be right if our government was acting above the law; and they'd never do that, right?
The U.S. pay czar will cut in half the average compensation for 175 employees at firms receiving large sums of government aid, with the vast majority of salaries coming in under $500,000, according to people familiar with the government's plans.
If the government can dictate the salaries of these 175 people, they can dictate your salary.

And for those who would say that to compare the socialists who are running our government today with the Nazi party (you know, the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei aka the National Socialist German Workers' Party) I would encourage you to take a look at the National Socialist Party's 25 points, in this case, the following points:

11. That all unearned income, and all income that does not arise from work, be abolished.

12. Since every war imposes on the people fearful sacrifices in blood and treasure, all personal profit arising from the war must be regarded as treason to the people. We therefore demand the total confiscation of all war profits.

13. We demand the nationalization of all trusts.

14. We demand profit-sharing in large industries.

Yeah, nothing in common with the American Socialists running DC today.

AR reliability

In the gun world, you hear constant chatter about how unreliable the AR15/M16 platform is...

I've owned a half dozen or so ARs over the years and short of one upper that just flat out wouldn't work on one of my lowers - which JR ended up with and it runs flawless on his lower - each of mine has run 100%.

And trust me, my friends, I abuse the dog poop out of my gear.

Cav Arms has put together a neat little video proving this point as well....
